The Senior Section has approximately 80 members, with 25 to 30 of these members active in club matches or club competitions. Senior age eligibility for matches and competitions is 55 years.

The Seniors play 24 friendly matches, home and away, against local teams. In addition, they also play against a further 4 teams in the Northern section of the Cambridge Friendly League. A Seniors Medal competition is played once a month, usually towards the end of each month, throughout the year. Dates are posted on the club notice board and entry fee is £1.

Although not formally a seniors section, the majority of the senior members also belong to the Thorpe Wood Fit'n Ancient Society. This society meets every Tuesday and Friday between 7am and 8am, has over 40 members, and holds a very extensive programme of competitions.

The Seniors Open is held annually in the middle of July. From a modest beginning 8 years ago the Open now attracts upwards of 160 entrants. The current Open Champion is a Thorpe Wood member, Les Hooper.
