A large field took place in the Ladies Spring Open. For most of the day the first team to tee off, Jenny Walters, Mary Martinson and Myra Landsburgh had a strong lead with 89 pts but very late in the field the team of Elaine Norman, Trish Crighton and Karen Blacklock came in with 90 pts. However, a late charge by Pat Hawcroft, Pat Haynes (both from Belton Woods) and Evelyn Hayler of Sleaford resulted in a win with 91 pts.
