Format: Foursomes with a difference - men off the red tees and ladies off the yellows.

Invitational: play in fours - one pair from Thorpe Wood and invite a pair from another club.

Handicap allowance: half combined

Handicap limits: Men 24, ladies 32

Cost: £6.00 per couple payable to starter on the day.

Green fee: one per couple payable at Pro Shop

Handicap limits: Men 20 Ladies 30 - players on higher handicaps may compete but must play to the limits stated.

Strokes received: 1/2 of difference of the combined handicaps

Green fee: one green fee per couple per round payable at Pro Shop

Entry fee:  £6.00 per couple payable in envelope marked MIXED KNOCKOUT clearly showing NAMES of entrants in box in PRO SHOP by close date (5th April 2010)

Draw is published mid April and shown on website and mixed board. N.B. Pairs will not be entered in draw if entry fee not received by close date.

It is the responsibility of the first couple on the draw sheet to offer at least three reasonable dates to play the match and to confer with their drawn opponents to reach an agreeable date and time.

It is the responsibility of the first couple on the draw sheet to book the tee. Remember that tees for club competitions can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.

All matches must be played at Thorpe Wood.

Each round must be completed by the specified date.

In the event of a ‘tie’ on the 18^th hole, you can agree either:                                   

a) arrange a further match by the specified date,                                                              

or,

b) continue from the 1^st  tee until a hole is won. 

Yellow tee markers for men.  The final  - white tee.

The stroke index is to be taken from the men’s card.

It is the responsibility of the winners of each match to enter the result on the draw sheet.  If the match is not played and a walkover is not given, both pairs will be eliminated if a result is not posted on the draw sheet by the specified date.

The Rules of Golf are to apply.

Players are reminded that any queries, including date disputes arising, should be reported, in writing, to the Secretary for consideration by the Joint Committee.

The Committee’s decision shall be final on all matters.
